About Conference:

Reading is a foundational skill that drives academic success, professional growth, and lifelong learning, yet many find it challenging to cultivate. To address these challenges, the Karnataka State Library Association (KALA), is organizing an International Conference on Readers are Leaders from 26-28 February, 2026 in collaboration with Department of Studies and Research in Library and Information Science, Tumkur University, Tumkur,  the Karnataka State College Librarians Association, Bengaluru, and LIS Academy, Bengaluru, with Rotary Tumakuru and Rotary Bengaluru as event partners. Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT) is hosting the conference. The conference aims to inspire young minds to embrace reading, develop essential skills, and enhance cognitive abilities, while encouraging libraries and academic institutions to innovate in the digital era. Bringing together educators, librarians, researchers, students, and reading enthusiasts, it will serve as a platform to exchange ideas, share research, and highlight success stories, best practices, and emerging trends that support knowledge acquisition and leadership development.
